  • TECHNICIAN RENEWAL INFORMATION:                                                   ONLINE RENEWALS ARE NOW OPEN THROUGH Oct 31, 2019

Technicians initially registered after July 1, 2017: You must pass either the PTCB or ExCPT certification examination prior to renewing this year.  Proof of successful completion of the exam must be provided when you renew. If you are unable to pass a certification exam before October 31, 2019, you may request a one-time extension to pass the exam by submitting Form LA-75 to the board no later than October 1, 2019.  If your request is approved, you will have an additional six months to take and pass the certification exam. You will receive a new pocket card with an expiration date of April 30, 2020.  If you do not pass the exam by April 30, 2020, your renewal will be DENIED.

  • NEW! Technicians issued after January 1, 2019 will now have a 24- prefix for their registration number until they provide proof of passage of the PTCB or ExCPT certification examinations. This must be completed before their first renewal. The registration number will be updated to the 14- prefix once proof is supplied to the Board. The six digits following will remain the same no matter the prefix.
  • Effective July 15, 2018, the Board will only accept current, TYPED versions of Board of Pharmacy forms. Old forms or handwritten forms will be returned (with payment) directly to the sender without processing.
